THON has over 15,000 student volunteers, 700 dancers, and has raised more than $78 million, benefiting The Four Diamonds Fund at Penn State Hershey Hospital. The main goal of THON is to conquer childhood cancer.
The weekend of February 11 and 12, Kathleen and I will be hosting a group of THON student volunteers. During the day the students will be Canning (Coin Drop) in the Saratoga community to raise money for THON.
The evening of Saturday, February 11, from 6 – 8:30 p.m., an Italian Dinner will be held at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 50 Pine Road, Saratoga Springs. (map and directions here) The proceeds from the dinner will benefit THON.
The donation for the dinner is $10, children 10 and under are free. Tickets are available at the Knights of Columbus Hall or by contacting Dave 796-4021, or, davebarringerny@yahoo[dot]com. Tickets will also be available at the door.
